This is an area littered with pitfalls. As we have already said, it's simple to compare prices on comparison sites, the drawback being these sites do not offer advice. Here’s an example:

John Morrison and Lynne Fountain lived together with their son who is 7 years old. They had a £70,000 mortgage and arranged a life insurance policy via a price comparison site. It costs £10 per month. Sadly John died. At such an emotional time, the last thing Lynne needed was the realisation that the life insurance wasn't paying out to her. The £70,000 cheque was given to John's estranged Father who John had fallen out with many years earlier. Lynne was left without her partner, without her partner's income, with a £70,000 mortgage still to pay and with a 7 year old son to feed.
A simple trust form, completed at any point after the policy was put in force, would have ensured Lynne would have received the £70,000 to pay off the mortgage.
ADVICE IS IMPORTANT

We can arrange an authorised independent advisor to help.
